... more from the 1980's DOD commissioned series of artworks on the Soviet military threat. This of the Anti-Ballistic Missile site at Pushinko. I wonder what the Pentagon paid for these? Hopefully not much since they aren't very good!

The big blocky-looking building in the background is the ABM tracking radar that detects and tracks targets. Very similar to US version that was built at either Grand Forks AFB or Minot AFB, North Dakota. US Never actually deployed the missiles. They were tested in the South Pacific against targets launched from California, but not given the green light for deployment.
